Desoldering Wire / Wick Roll overview:

The desoldering wire is a very useful tool to desolder circuits when you make a mistake such as accidentally bridging two solder points.

Just place it over the excess solder and apply the soldering tip on the top. Be sure to remove it together with the soldering iron or it might stick to the PCB.
